The Who? The Greatest Rock Band Ever? You Better You Bet!

by SCOTT RONNE

I remember the first time I heard "Will not Get Fooled Again" in 1980. Keith Moon was dead for two years, but I do not know. I had no idea who he was Keith Moon. I have no idea who was the group that sings this classic rock anthem. In 1980, I was enough to appreciate rock, classic rock. I was tired of The Bay City Rollers (Give me a break, I was a child). It was time to graduate, not a conscious way, but in a moment as if by magic natural embrace, whatever your age. Each of us experience these feelings of admiration and amazement for something new ... and never forget that moment and time. The music is so powerful. Mightier than any book or movie, the music can touch your soul, stop on tracks with sounds and words brought back memories once forgotten, can touch people's hearts with joy or sadness. This is what music does for us ... and more than any other musician (s), The Who and reach touch me like no other group. In 1960, the rock groups of infants, it seemed, every week. It 'was a period of unprecedented creativity in music. If a document has been European or North American release of the music was so fresh and unique sound that sent a shockwave of a new generation of children who need more than the generic brand of pop music. This was the golden age of contemporary music. Of course, the Beatles opened the way of music production, quality and popularity. The Rolling Stones have always been under the "Mop Top" with regard to the flattery and sell their music go.With image of rebels, have been the two opposite poles of the Beatles in terms of image and sound. Contrast ideal for the squeaky clean Beatles. The competition between the Beatles and the Stones are legendary, with both groups trying to outdo each other with the next # 1 hit.

Who has not had a chance to eclipse the Beatles or the Stones or the number 1 hits and album sales. They were among the three groups noted the perennial era British Invasion ... were only so many sales to go around. No matter. Who has never played with anyone. The battles that have only beaten them. Their desire to create music that mattered was the strongest of any criticism or public adulation. Their lack of respect and contempt for the approval of the public is what made me love with the WHO. What mattered to the WHO has something more tangible braces, deeper record sales of gold and something else. The only way to reach the audience in a spiritual way, to be the funniest and most powerful group of musicians in the world!

The Who in the 60 's, have been touring steadily and, therefore, build a reputation as a group of working class. Their energy and power of the legendary live shows have given the fans an infusion of Rock and Roll, in its crudest form. Supporters over the years, he became fascinated by these four brilliant musicians in all their dysfunctional ways. With the WHO, may be misinterpreted their anger and rage toward the world and sometimes the other. This anger has been the engine that has taken place and supported The Who and their ability to create music that is relevant to a generation. With the Beatles and the Stones to be viewed under a microscope, the WHO has the freedom to be honest with their music and fans and should not represent a certain image or to create a sound, or formula that the Beatles and Stones were to continue for marketing.

The Who since their incarnation in 1964, released 11 studio albums. Before the death of Keith Moon, eight classic albums that have been produced with the initial programming of Townshend, Daltrey, Entwistle and Moon. Not an album of great production, to consider other groups of their time on average an album a year or more. Who has never cared about the amount ... They made an album, when (or, more precisely, Pete Townshend) were prepared. The quality and importance of their music, combined with an almost religious approach to their live shows, indicate status they adore. Of the major groups of life, was the WHO has added elements of musicality, energy, enthusiasm, anger (guitars broken and destroyed drum set) and anger.

Although they have often been at odds with each other, this quartet dysfunctional, once on stage after it was really fun. The anger and the anger was directed to the company and an imperfect world. When they were onstage, they were brothers working towards a common goal. Emotions aside, no member would ever let the other down. As individuals, the musicians have supreme. If no member has ever met, the members were certainly respected musicians, though I doubt that without the respect and adoration, which is about them so far. Would not have another. This allows Daltrey, John Entwistle, Townshend and Moon in Excel, is the sum of the whole. Each member is nurtured each other to create their own genius. As a group, the four created a sound and chemistry that fate could be created and enable their development as musicians to be met. They met and lived time and right place. Even if half of The Who exist today, and indeed would never really been able to revive the classic years, Daltrey and Townshend did not allow the passage of the Moon or Entwistle affect the passion that they do. When all is said and done, it's the music that matters and give the two surviving members of the credit, never let his legacy or die.
