New Cherry is a power trio of classically trained on guitar and vocals which sees Sara Piolanti, Ulysses Tramalloni on drums and bass Antonio Vinci (the latter taking over from Michael Benincasa towards the end of recordings).
The trio presents a repertoire of original research done melodic and rhythmic, which stands out the sensuality and warmth of a voice out of town and tells stories intriguing and ironic at the same time.
The voice is that of Sara Piolanti, former lead singer of Caravane De Ville (band founded dallex Rubbiani John Modena City Ramblers), important artistic figure with a history rich in musical collaborations worthy of note: Vince Vallicelli blues drummer, the Modena City Ramblers (for the album "Viva La Vida Muera La Muerte"), up to Marta sui Tubi (nellalbum "There are people who must sleep").
Sarah is now starting a new artistic adventure by founding the New Cherry, that January 29, 2010
come out for the label, My Place Records with their first album entitled "The Forme of Pedro", consisting of 5 original songs, the video for the single "Coca Magnum", pictures and texts.
"The songs are the stories and the nightmares of my life", this is the concept on which they built the New Cherry 'Forms of Pedro "write a song, in fact, means giving a shape to a feeling to be able to grasp, hold but also removed.
To do this, the band uses Pedro, an alter ego, a sort of mask that allows you to give voice to their secrets and fantasies.
Pedro comes to life thanks to the charming voice of Sarah, scratchy guitars and rhythmic
pressing the 5 tracks found in "Forms of Pedro."
THE PROJECT. My Place Records is a new independent record label that wants to give voice to original artists and talent without bias of any kind, highlighting the qualities of someone who takes an artistic vocation. For this reason, My Place
Records includes artists musically very different but are united by their passion and love for their project in which they identify fully.
The editorial of My Place Records provides two outputs for each of its annual artist.
Each of which will be a focused selection of music containing 5 songs, a video clip of the single, photos and lyrics of the artist: an original way to reach agreement on market and an increasingly demanding and eager for novelty .
