The music of the past hundred years has undergone unprecedented changes that musicians and researchers could not predict. Even with the technological innovations that have led the industrial revolution, nobody would have imagined that the music of the 20th century have changed so quickly did.
As the world getting smaller through advances in technology and transport, people began to have more free time, which means that more people are testing the individualism and express themselves. When the radio and recording devices became available, the variety of music and its availability immersed society and, ultimately, the music was created, which depend almost no taste. Finally, the musical instruments has become less expensive and for the first time in history, anyone could make their music, and much of the music produced over the last hundred years has been on daily life or things that we all feel, instead of anything dealing with the king and nobles.
Electronic music and also changed the way in which we live. In previous centuries, many shows were held in theaters or concert halls where the building is designed to support the sound of popular music. In the opera houses and concert halls, many people could gather to watch an artist perform, but it was difficult to hold major concerts in other places because of the sound balance and the need for balanced sound and smooth. However, the use of microphones and electronic instruments and a virtually unlimited number of devices to manipulate the sound of this instrument produces, the musicians are now able to perform in any environment, from a small room with open-air concert in front of thousands of people.
Another factor that has changed the face of the music industry to promote and sell music. For musicians and artists for centuries depended on the patronage of the church or wealthy nobles, and musicians can create music that suits the tastes of their leader. However, in modern music, the audience is the boss and the music has become very diversified in response to that. Completely different genres like rock and roll and rap, have been trained in an effort to express themselves in a unique way and to reach more people with a unique sound. Many times these unique sounds: a large salary for the musicians who paved the way and those who promote them. Because of the money that has become part of the music industry, genres, many have sold, and often professional musicians music designed to sell albums, instead of making music that is truly expressive.
Although several factors have influenced the music of the last century, the price of technology is a major cause of the popularity and diversity of music we know today. Not only is it easier to produce music, modern music can be recorded and played for years in its original form, as provided by 'artist. Unfortunately, the commercialization of music has perhaps contributed to the development of music than any other factor.
