Find your fans

The performers, all jumping the opportunity to be front, center stage and

do what we do best. Unfortunately, if you do not choose your site

correctly, you do not do much to help your cause. Before putting the six

string in your back and head for opening night next micro, there are some

things to consider.

The first thing to understand is the composition of the public are

important. If you go to the local nursing home for playing punk rock, you'd

made a grave mistake. A) No account is taken of what the public wants, B)

You're not performing to your target and C) Do not think of your

merchandising.

Instead of having committed the largest crowd, the organization of concerts

that are appropriate to the style of the group and gender. Create shows in

places where your target audience can be found and be sure to choose your

target audience is a group that has the money needed to remember. I know

that your target audience and what they want to hear, it is possible for

you to find your fans in their environment and receive a profit for the

time to do so.

Leave the other bands in town to continue to play the open mic night for

local musicians hang out. These shows little 'talent are simply not

profitable or a good place to find new fans. Why? The event is usually an

audience of musicians waiting for their chance to arise. They are not there

to buy CDs. They are there to listen to their songs for the audience that

we all aspire. Instead of wasting time to practice before an audience of

fellow musicians, spend time learning that the target audience and finding

your fans
