When I started studying the history of music, I do not know what I was getting into. I had the idea that the history of music was a bit 'Trivial Pursuit ...

Honestly, I only followed my history of classical music class because I needed the credit. I'm sure some of you out there who can relate to. I can not completely as the history of music could be interesting. You see, in our culture, many of us do not really study to understand the music. For much of the world, music is a language, but for us it is something that we consumed passively.

When I started studying the history of Western music, however, has changed everything for me. I had some experience with the use of musical instruments, but I never learned enough to really understand what one is music. This class showed me.

When many of us look at the history of music, this means that the history of rock music. We assume that the story is simple because the music is evident. Neither the case. The history of music, if you talk about classical music, rock, jazz, or any other kind, is always complex. Chord structures already have brought with it new forms of understanding humanity. New rhythmic patterns are established, bringing with them new ways of understanding history. And while musical performances.

History of music is now even more interesting. Even when the class is over, I could not stop learning the history of music. It has whetted my appetite, and I wanted more. I purchased all the volumes of the history of music, as I could discover. I also started to examine the forms of music that does not interest me, hoping to improve my knowledge of music further. When I was a student at the school to a very different - an engineering degree - I had thought of giving up and go get a degree in musicology. This is how I'm fascinated by the subject.

If you have never taken a course in music history, you do not know what you missed. Do not miss what you do not know one way, but once again ... Believe me, the CD will never be the same sound for you. In fact, not only CDs but any type of media that are or will be used to play your favorite music. Everything seems much richer, much brighter and much bigger. A new song can reflect a new way of being, and a new way to imagine the existence in the world. This is what learning the history of music means to many of us. Just try and see.

Listen to music now has a whole new meaning. You can imagine all kinds of different musical styles there are in the world. And 'Make your musical mind really thrives.
